Anatomy Module 1 with Rachel Ellery

20 Hour Anatomy Education - Discovering the anatomical magic that's beneath our skin, Rachel Ellery will guide you step by step through engaging, empowering, fun and interactive course with great visual pictures. Be inspired visually with fantastic pictures, diagrams and videos.

 

​​​​During the Anjali Yoga Teacher Training 200hr, we have a Special International Guest Teacher from UK/BALI  Rachel Ellery, who will be joining us again in Basel for the 2th time. 

( Note: It will be a weekend as part of a 200hr Yoga TT , but can also be booked as a stand alone weekend module. ) 

 

ABOUT

Rachel is an international anatomy and movement teacher specializing in educating yoga students, teachers and bodyworkers. With over 20 years of teaching experience and a background in osteopathy, she previously spent a decade teaching osteopathy students at UniTech in New Zealand after graduating from the British School of Osteopathy in 2000.

Known for her down-to-earth and engaging teaching style, Rachel brings anatomy to life through storytelling, visuals, interactive exercises and practical examples. She has taught anatomy in numerous 200- and 300-hour yoga teacher trainings worldwide and regularly travels from her base in Bali to yoga schools across the globe.

Rachel leads the Anatomy Module at Anjali Studio together with Savina. With her depth of knowledge, vibrant presence and passion for the body in motion, she transforms anatomy into an inspiring, practical and truly embodied learning experience.

 

Who is it for: 

This Anatomy Module is part of the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Anjali Studio and is also open to external participants who wish to deepen their understanding of the body in relation to yoga.

It is ideal for yoga practitioners, yoga teachers in training, and teachers who would like to refresh or expand their knowledge of functional anatomy. The module is also valuable for movement practitioners, therapists, and bodyworkers who are interested in a holistic and practical approach to anatomy and movement.

Through interactive learning and practical exploration, participants gain a clearer understanding of how the body works in yoga practice, helping to support safer, more conscious and intelligent movement.

 

COURSE CONTENT:

 

Module 1: Structure Governs Function, Embryology & Introduction

 

Module 2: The Breath, Diaphragm & Core Cylinder of Strength

 

Module 3: Axis & Ranges of Movement, the Skeleton

 

Module 4: Lower & Upper Extremities, Arthrology & Synovial Joints

 

Module 5: Myology: Muscles of the Axial Skeleton, Upper and Lower Extremity

 

Module 6: Myofascial Lines, Summary and Final Exam

* Deepen your understanding about the structure and function of human anatomy enabling you to educate your students. 

* Bring a deeper understanding of how yoga influences the 13 interconnected systems of our body creating a whole body experience.

* Focus your awareness to your conscious breath, diaphragm, core cylinder and pelvic diaphragm, enabling you to integrate your core stability in practise and teaching.

* Bring a consciousness to anatomical layers of your body and how you view the people of the world.   

* Expand your anatomical knowledge making you a more confident, engaging and effective yoga teacher.

* Deepen your personal practice encouraging energy flow and purpose behind each yoga pose. 

* Increase your understanding of anatomical alignment, creating new neuromuscular patterns, refining your practise and reducing the possibility of injury.

* Encourage you to find a balance between flexibility and stability creating safe and healthy movement patterns protecting your joint supporting your body for a lifelong practice. 

* Expand teaching cues to connect to your students, enabling them to correct their posture and alignment.
